Story
I'm 'training' for the ADRA 25000 Spins Charity bike ride in Queenstown. 300km in three days, the Crown Ranges to cross, very skinny tyres and a very small seat.
Leanne and I are keen supports of ADRA and believe that they do credible and life changing work around the world by empowering people to help themselves, rather than simply offering hand outs.
Working with ADRA we've been back to the same very poor rural village in Cambodia five times now. Everyone in that village now has access to clean water and a toilet. There is a preschool where kids from illiterate parents are learning to read and to think. 20 adults have done vocational training that gives them the skills to provide for their family. The list goes on ... and so do the life impacting changes.
